Aer Lingus uses Two Factor Authentication (2FA) as an additional layer of security at login to ensure we are operating in line with GDPR regulations and within best practices for account security.
2FA relies on two forms of authentication: something you know, and something you have with you. The something you know is your password. The something you have with you is your mobile device where you can receive an SMS message from us.
What you need to do:
Step 1: You will receive an email from AerClub with a link inviting you to login to our Website to complete 2FA.
Step 2: Within the email select the link provided to open the screen to start the 2FA enrolment process.
Step 3: You will then need to enter your mobile phone number and will receive a verification code via SMS to that phone number.
Step 4: You then need to enter the verification code on the page which will then complete the enrolment for 2FA.
You can log in using multiple devices and browsers. Each device (laptop, phone, tablet) & browser will require 2FA authentication. Once verified you will not be prompted for 2FA again for 30 days.
No, 2FA is not mandatory for you to log in to your AerClub account currently. However, because of the additional safeguards that 2FA provides, we strongly encourage you to set up this for your AerClub account.
For now, we are offering 2FA to a limited group via email with a link to login to our Website. All members will be invited to enrol for 2FA on the Aer Lingus website and mobile app in the coming months.
If you didn't receive the SMS verification code to your device, you will have the option to resend the SMS from the verification screen. If you still don't receive the SMS, you can use the recovery code that you received and saved when you first enrolled for two-factor authentication. Failing that you can use the on-screen help links or contact us.

Yes. Once you are logged in to your AerClub account, your AerClub number will be automatically added to your booking and you will be awarded the eligible Avios/Tier Credits once the flight has flown. Please note that to be awarded your name on your AerClub account must match the name on your passport/the name on your booking.
Adding my AerClub membership number to an existing booking:
If you have already made a booking and you were not logged into your AerClub account, contact us here with your booking reference number e.g. 2FN8YU. so we can add your AerClub details to the booking. Alternatively, your AerClub membership number can be added to your booking on the day of travel at the airport check-in desk by an Aer Lingus agent. Please note you will only be able to add your AerClub membership number to your booking if the passenger name, which should be your passport name, exactly matches your AerClub account name.

To change your name or DOB you need to contact AerClub here and upload accompanying proof of government ID (Driving License, passport or marriage certificate) and we can make the change for you. Please note that you cannot change the name on your account to another individual.

Members can apply for their status to be extended due to the birth/adoption of a new baby if they are Silver, Platinum or Concierge status. Members who have received complimentary status are not eligible.
In order to qualify, Members will need to provide a letter from their doctor, a birth certificate or documentation relating to the birth/adoption (within 6 months of the birth/adoption of the baby) and upload it on our contact form here. Where a couple adopt jointly, the couple must choose which partner takes adoption leave. Existing benefits will remain available for use during the extended period.
Eligible Members are limited to a maximum of two approved applications within a five year period.

Yes, once they are an authorised contact for your AerClub account. A Third Party Authorisation Form must be completed for each person the AerClub member wishes to authorise as a contact on their AerClub account.

While logged into your AerClub account go to the “My Details“ tab, scroll down to the end of the page and select “Delete my account“.
If you cannot access your account, you can request to delete it by completing this form and clicking “AerClub/Frequent flyer“ and “Delete my account“ from the drop down lists under the “How can we help?“ section.
Please note that once your account has been deleted, you will no longer have access to the account and will not be able to log in. If you're an AerClub member you'll lose all associated benefits, including Avios and Tier Credits.

Tier Credits are the key to unlocking travel benefits of AerClub. You earn Tier Cred-its when you fly with us on Aer Lingus ticketed and operated flights. They are awarded based on your route and fare type and must be earned between 1st April and 31st March each year. The more Tier Credits you earn in your 12 month qualification period, the further you'll advance through the AerClub tiers and have more travel benefits to enjoy. You can check if your fare is a sale or promotional fare before you book an Aer Lingus operated flight when booking on aerlingus.com.
Once you have selected your fare, you will see the "About your fare" section and under Taxes, Fees and Charges, click the "Fare Rules" link located at the bottom of the screen to view the Fare Basis Code. The booking class is the first letter of the fare basis code.
Please note that our website will always offer you the lowest price for the fare type requested. If you wish to avail of a fare which has a higher Tier Credit award when a lower fare is available, please contact our reservations team who will be happy to assist you in making your reservation.

Avios is the reward currency of AerClub. Every time you fly, book a hotel stay, or enjoy some retail therapy, you could be collecting Avios points to use towards travel rewards, including flights with Aer Lingus and AerClub airline partners.
Your Avios won't expire as long as you're either collecting or spending Avios at least once every 36 months. If you are not active in a 36-month period, the Avios in the account will expire. The account will be disabled, and you will no longer be able to log in. To re-activate access you will need to contact us.
Avios is a common rewards currency which is used by the British Airways Executive Club and Iberia Plus, as well as AerClub. You can transfer your Avios between your separate programme accounts.
You will need to log in to BA.com and select Combine My Avios. Please note you can only transfer Avios if all details, including your name, date of birth and e-mail address are on your account.

If your AerClub number was present on the flight you wish to claim for, the following timelines apply:
Flights to and from Ireland / UK / USA: Please allow up to 10 days for any applicable Avios & Tier Credits to be added to your AerClub account.
Flights from Europe to Ireland: Please allow up to 28 days for any applicable Avios & Tier Credits to be added to your AerClub account.
If you have forgotten to add your AerClub number to your flights, or the flights have not awarded within the time frame above, please fill in the Claim Avios & Tier Credits form. All necessary information required to complete this form can be found on your Booking Confirmation email or on your ticket.

Tier Credits are available on British Airways flights only. Other airline partners are not eligible for Tier Credits.
The Awarding of Avios for British Airways and United is determined by fare class and distance flown. See eligibility. The awarding of Avios on American Airlines is based on spend.

Please contact your chosen loyalty programme directly who will assist you with your claim further. While Aer Lingus may have been the operating carrier of your flight, the terms and conditions of award are determined by the loyalty programme you have chosen.
As of 1st April 2024, the AerClub Tier Qualification Period will move to 1st April to 31st March every year for all members irrespective of their enrolment date.
We are simplifying our programme by aligning the AerClub Qualification Period to an annual renewal date of 1st April for all members.
The changes will be visible in your account after 10th April 2024.
Your current Tier status and any remaining Tier benefits will be protected and extended until 31st March 2025. If your current Tier status already exceeds 31st March 2025, it will be extended to 31st March 2026.
All current Tier Credits will expire on 31st March 2024 and your Tier Credits will reset to zero. Your new Qualification Period begins on 1st April 2024.
Your Tier status will be based on your Tier as of 31st March 2024. In addition, we are reviewing any Tier Credits earned between 1st April 2023 and 31st March 2024. Based on this review any applicable Tier status upgrade will be applied to your account after 10th April 2024.
These changes will have no impact on your Avios, your balance will remain the same. There are no changes to the way you collect and spend Avios.
Once the Qualification Period resets on 1st April 2024, you will have 12 months until 31st March 2025 to earn Tier status.
